YOP Week 12/53

I keep trying to think Fall, but my weather is not cooperating. In reality we don't get our first cool days until after Halloween.

Knitting

  • 6 pairs of socks

  • Finish the Naughty Sweater 7/6/23
  • Finish the sweater for my sister
  • Summer sweater knit (Vibes)
  • cardigan for me
  • Stephen West project
    • Secret Sock Along 8/12/23, 9/2/23

  • Row and Kates project
  • Tifneilan project
  • Petite Knits project
  • Melissa K designs project
  • Stephanie Lotven design project
  • Joji Locatelli project
  • Charity Knitting

Weekly Update: I have plans to see my sister in about a month so thought oops, better get her sweater out of time out. I have the main body mostly complete and two sleeves. I am going to try to join them all together so when we meet she can do a quick try on.

Crochet

Weekly Update: This project got a little nudge aside since I am slightly obsessed with my newest sock pattern.

Cross stitch

  • finish Tower of London card 8/5/23
  • finish Mom project I began in 2000 (this will be the hardest to complete. I was working on this project when my mother passed away)

Weekly Update: Well you will never guess not only did I locate a hoop, but I actually stitched on the project. Oh boy this one is going to take quite a while to complete! I posted about the project on Friday.

Cricut

Weekly Update: I wore both of these pairs over the past week and they both looked super cute. The faux leather is so light it is like you have nothing on your ears.

Canning (canning meals in jars)

  1. Vindaloo Curry 7/21/23
  2. pork ribs
  3. beef stew
  4. beef stroganoff in a jar (changed to canned grapes) 7/28/23
  5. corned beef & potatoes
  6. white chicken chili 7/6/23
  7. chicken gravy
  8. watermelon lemonade concentrate (originally chicken a la king) 7/10/23
  9. marinera sauce
  10. can 5 pounds of sweet potatoes
  11. pulled pork barbeque
  12. Ham-Bean soup
  13. extra: Peach jam 8/4/23

Weekly Update: No canning but I did pick up a special on chicken breasts so put three packages of Pesto Chicken Parmesan in the freezer. This has to be in our top 5 of freezer meals I make. The recipe says it is for the slow cooker, but I make it a skillet meal and it works.

Sewing

Weekly Update: I did more sewing and completed a few projects, including the flounce top.
