Pumpkin Stew

A few weeks ago right before Thanksgiving when I was working on pumpkins I found an old recipe for a stew made in a pumpkin shell. I have made this recipe a few times over the years.

This is an all day recipe which is nice in the fall because you use the oven for a few hours. It will take the chill off in the house when being made.

I had beef stew meat in the freezer and the rest as they say was history.

A nice loaf of crusty warm bread and you have a full meal. I also used the seeds I removed to make a small batch of roasted seeds.
