Reading In The First Week of April

I finished The Abominable by Dan Simmons. I turned out not to be quite as bad as I had originally thought. If you are interested in early attempts to climb Mt. Everest you will find the first half of the book fascinating. The 2nd half contains quite a few improbable events. I will not be looking for other books by this author. Finally I finished Prague Winter: A Personal Remembrance and War, 1937-1948 by Madeline Albright. I probably would only recommend it to serious history buff people.

Kindle Ebook

Never Saw Me Coming by Vera Kurian. Not too sure this is all that an enjoyable book. It holds a tiny bit of my interest. Enough to finish but not enough to rave to friends, you must read this book.

Holding Up the Universe by Jennifer Niven. Apparently this book cause quite the social media stir when it was published in 2016. Well that is me - late to the party. It concerns all the worst things about high school. Oh my, that is not such a good recommendation because who wants to relive those days!

Car Audio

The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz. This book proves you should tell the truth. The narrator is very OCD and this gets wearing after a while. It does get better as you listen along, but still undecided about it in general.

Ipod Audio

The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. No further along since I am listening the book below.

The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles. I'm over 75% done listening to this book. It just continues to be enjoyable, but then I am a big fan of this author.
