School Make with Cricut

The other day I was wandering down the aisles of the local Dollar Tree and I spotted some galvanized metal hanging little items. I can engrave with my Cricut since I do have the engraving tool for the machine I own, but galvanized metal does not engrave.

Now to engrave with a Cricut you need the correct tool/blade. It is called an engraving tip. It is sharp! Kids do not press the tip with the end of your finger to find out exactly how sharp. Take my word for it and save yourself a little ouch.

Galvanized metal may not engrave but it takes vinyl like a champ. I used Cricut Access to write my teacher name and then cut it out using permanent vinyl. I applied it with transfer tape and viola, instant cute hanger for anywhere inside or outside my classroom.

Now, of course it does not have a big blob of blue mess, that is just covering up my teacher name.

I bought a few more of the little hangers and plan on making them for some neat back to school gifts for my teacher friends.

It is an easy, quick and very inexpensive present.
