Try, Try Again

I seem to be having a lot of failures when playing yarn chicken this year. I began a hat for The Seaman's Church Institute. Turns out I did not have enough to make stripes and complete the top of the hat. After a few weeks in knitting time out I got over my mad to frog the project. I began with a brand new skein of yarn and am adding stripes from my last yarn chicken failure.

I am adding the last stripe with the remaining blue yarn. The hat will be finished with the red. There will lots of left over red yarn to make a scarf or maybe another helmet liner for the collection. Good thing this pattern is easy and is potato chip knitting.
