Update on Shawl

At the beginning of this year I cast on what I knew would be a long term project, the Calico Quilt Shawl. I purchased the pattern on Ravelry, the designer is Samantha Troia and was designed as an Advent knit in 2018. The designer is an owner of BumbleeBee Acres Fiber Farm. I discovered the pattern through the Crazy Sock Lady (she was wearing hers on Vlogmas 2022). My plan was (and still is) to use up sock knitting leftovers. I worked on it quite a bit till about halfway through the year when I really did not have any sock left overs to add to the shawl. I did knit socks, but for various reasons they did not produce leftovers. The last time I counted I believe I have 13 triangles completed.

This is the most updated photo I have of the object. It is a fun knit to work on and look at. I can remember each sock and occasionally when working on it I have caught myself with the matching socks on my actual feet! Hopefully there will be more triangles added in 2024.
