Using Up from the Freezer
I cleaned out the freezer the other week. It is important to do this not very exciting chore. You can find all kinds of treasures in the back. I found a bag of ham pieces I had cut into cubes and froze in a sealer bag. To use them up I made a ham noodle casserole for dinner.
It is an easy recipe. You need ham pieces, cubes or chunks, cream of mushroom soup, cooked noodles (I used egg noodles), cheese, and milk. I mixed all the ingredients, except the cheese. Poured it into a greased 9x12 baking pan. The shredded cheese I sprinkled all over the top.
I then baked it uncovered in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes. You just need all the ingredients to heat up together since almost everything in the casserole is already cooked. I served it with a green salad and another vegetable.
It was eaten up without complaint so I think it is a keeper.
