3rd Foodie Friday in a Row!
Remember last week when I mentioned I found decent mushrooms. Can’t let them go to waste. I wanted to try stuffed mushrooms and I found a recipe (that of course I tweaked). I have had mushrooms stuffed with entirely too much cheese of the 3 different varieties - not for me. Also my DH really does not always consider it a meal if no meat is involved. I always have ground pork in the freezer.
The biggest difference is that I did not have fennel seeds, toasted or otherwise in my spice cupboard. I figured I would probably be just fine without that addition. I knew that this would probably not win the heart of my DD so I made this for dinner on a night when she had late classes.
Would I make this again - probably not. It is a lot of mushroom taste upon the first sitting. I will say they were much better for lunch the next day. Sometimes I try a new recipe just because, some are keepers and some are catch and release.
