6 months of crossstitching

I have been faithful to an hour of work a week on the piece for my late mother since June 25, 2024. The picture below shows where this piece has sat for over 20 years since the death of my mother. I had just begun the piece as a gift for her when she passed. After the funeral I just packed it away and was frankly unable to even look at the piece for years and years.

When I began my YOP in July ‘24 I thought this was a good time to try to at least work on the piece. The first few weeks were hard, but if the work itself is sometimes not my favorite, working on it does bring peace to my soul. Here is where it sits after 6 months.
