Week 12/12 Reading

A finish or two and an abandoned book. I returned The Pocket: A Hidden History of Women’s Lives 1660-1900 by Barbara Burman and Ariana Fennetaux. Interesting book but the writing style felt like I was reading a doctoral thesis. I was not in the mood. I finished The Reappearance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson, a twisty thriller with little to no violence. Emperor of Rome: Ruling the Ancient Roman World by Mary Beard. I will miss those silly little Roman Emperors I have spent the last few weeks learning about. Also this old thing I finally received again from the library and was able to finish, The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley. A strange book that is not a usual read for me. I really do not enjoy time travel stories.

Weyward by Emily Hart. A Goodreads review described it perfectly - a book about 4 related women from different time periods who are severly mistreated by the men in their lives.

Audio Book

Miss Morgan’s Book Brigade by Janet Skeslien Charles. The story is based on a real character from history, but is historical fiction.
