Air Fryer Treat

I do not normally purchase Twinkies. They are a yellow cake with a creme filling. A very heavily processed food. I purchased them for a project and had a few left over. This lead to an experiment with the air fryer.

Many people eat deep fried Twinkies at state fairs so I thought they would probably be okay to make in an air fryer.

I put them in the basket which I covered in parchment paper. I turned on the fryer and baked them on each side for 1 minute per side.

They turned out delicious. The air fryer crisped the outside of the cake.

I would not buy another box, but if a Twinkie falls into my hands again now I know what to do with it.
