April Reading News

I had some finishes this week. I finished Never Saw Me Coming by Vera Kurian, Holding Up the Universe by Jennifer Niven, and The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz. It appears I borrowed many kindle books from my local library at about the same time 3 weeks ago and they all seemed to be due within a day or two of each other.

Kindle Ebook

Ariadne by Jennifer Saint. You must be familiar with Greek mythology to make this read a bit more enjoyable. Over the past few years many of the Greek myths are being retold with a female viewpoint and I find the books in this genre well-written. It reminds me in some ways of the book Circe by Madeline Miller which I read and thoroughly enjoyed a few years ago.

The Maid by Nita Prose. Opinions on this book seem very divided. It was well written and moved along quite nicely. A mystery whose main character is neurodivergent. It will keep your interest.

All the Ways We Said Goodbye by Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, and Karen White. I do not believe I have ever read a book written by 3 authors. The central "character" of the book is the Ritz Hotel in Paris. The book travels back in time to 3 different periods (1914, 1942 and 1964).

Ipod Audio

The Red Tent by Anita Diamant. No further along since I am listening the book below.

The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles. I'm over 85% into the book. It just continues to be enjoyable, but then I am a big fan of this author.
