End of the Month Reading Round-Up

I am so far ahead on my reading schedule according to Goodreads. This week I finished reading All My Knotted-Up Life: A Memoir by Beth Moore. I did enjoy this book. It is very well written and really explores many "hidden" issues in her life both personally and professionally. I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter by Erika Sanchez. This book was not what I at first expected. It dealt very sensitively with teen mental health and also the immigrant experience.

Hardcover

Road Ends by Mary Lawson. This is a highly recommended Canadian author. This is a novel about a family that seems to be falling apart.

Audio Book

Being Henry by Henry Winkler. Over half way through the listen. It is interesting, but not a compelling read. Actors are a strange bunch of people.

Kindle Book

A Drowned Maiden's Hair by Laura Amy Schlitz. I have had this book on my Kindle forever it seems. When I finished the last Kindle book I thought I would read a book that has been languishing on my kindle unread. It is not a great book, but not the worst I have ever read. I just cannot really feel too much for any of the characters. None of them are especially nice.
