Halloween shirt
I bought a cute panel from Raspberry Creek Fabrics and wanted to use it in a Rockford Raglan from Love Notions. I have no idea where I got the purple hued knit fabric. It has been in my collection for quite a while. It is a nice weight of knit and I thought it went well with the panel. I did a much better job centering this panel than any other panel I have worked with on a shirt.
I made a large but could probably have gotten away with a medium especially on the neck. The sleeves are 3/4 and were planned to have cuffs, but they looked odd. I sewed one cuff on and it didn't do anything for the sleeve. Cut it off and just hemmed the sleeve ends. I am going to wear it at least once with the bottom cuff before I decide if it will stay or go. I may also try to take in the sleeve and sides a little bit.
My DD thought it looked nice. My DH told me he had shirts just like this in the 1970's? The temperature is supposed to drop this week so I might even get to wear it in the correct season.
