Mini Easter Backet Sewing

I found a cute little pattern for a tiny Easter basket. Just a thought I should remember, I might want to read dimensions in a pattern. Once I started cutting out the pieces I thought well this is a super tiny little thing. Maybe you could use it for those who really should not be getting too many treats from the Easter Bunny. Not quite on his no treat list but pretty close!

Here are the ears I cut out. Always a cause for celebration I used my mother's pinking scissors. I got them sharpened during the pandemic and they cut like a dream.

After the ears I worked on the basket part. It takes a buttonhole! After I snapped the picture below I did put in the buttonhole.

In the photo you can see where I marked for the buttonhole. After the buttonhole I had to stop to make dinner. My family is funny that way they expect to eat every night - geesh!

Also we all know a sewer's famous last words...."Let me just do this one quick thing." This is stated just before the entire project falls apart. I swear my machine knows when I need to finish something quickly and almost always acts up. Hopefully next week I will have a completed little treat bag to show off.
