My Sewing Year 2022

This is my sewing year in threads. The larger spools are serger cones of thread. I love my Babylock Victory serger and it shows. I also rediscovered sewing with knits this year. I had occasionally sewn with knits in the past, but really could not find patterns I liked for knits from the Big 4 pattern companies. This year I found a new source of great knit fabric and wonderful PDF patterns from small companies. Maybe 2023 will be the year of returning to woven fabric sewing since that is a large part of my fabric collection.

I completed one last sew of the year on the last day of 2022. A pair of flannel sleep pants to match the Christmas pjs I made my DH. Mine take longer than an hour to whip up so they were delayed until after Christmas sewing.

A few years ago my DD wanted a pair of flannel pants from the store because they had pockets. I have been adding pockets to my sleep flannel pants ever since. They are super comfy and warm.
