Neckband Success

I truly believed the Reine pattern from Styla Pattern Company was a great pattern. The last version I made just had fabric issues. As soon as I got the neckband on the first version of the pattern to lay flat and look decent. I cut out another version.

I purchased the fabric from Olga's Closet when it was on sale. She carries quite a few very cute animal print knits. The fabric is DBP (double brushed poly) with 40% stretch. I was only able to grab a yard of the fabric (it was all she had in the colorway).

Since I was a little short on fabric I made short sleeves. I was still able to put hem bands on both the bottom and sleeve cuffs so no hemming.

I actually think I might even like it more with a shorter sleeve length. Guess what, the neckband lay flat on the first try. The pattern is a way to dress up a simple raglan shirt. I see more of these in the future.
