New Easter Themed Shirt

I saw the most adorable rabbit fabric in a live sale from Olga's Closet a few weeks ago. When our DD was a toddler she had a favorite Richard Scary book, I Am A Bunny. Between my husband and I we read the book probably a 100+ times to her. This fabric reminded me of the book and the bunny. Therefore, a yard of it in a waffle knit hopped into my cart.

The pattern used was the Pebble Henley from Sinclair patterns. It has a faux henley neckline. The top version was made (a dress will be made at a latter date since I love the pattern). The placket gave me a little fit so don't look too closely. Part of the issue might have been the fabric type (well that's my story and I'm sticking to it). No buttons were attached, I just sewed it shut.

The fabric was directional and I only had a yard so I made 3/4 sleeves. Both sleeves and the bottom had cuffs added. I am really liking the banded hems, no hemming. I do not have a coverstitch machine and hems on knits are sometimes very naughty looking. The band eliminates the hemming portion of the pattern.

I am thrilled with the make. It is comfy and looks cute.

It was a very quick sew probably just about 2 hours from putting the pattern piece together, cutting everything out and sewing it all together. My DH did ask if it was pajama top - I just gave him my teacher look.
