Week 7 of YOP

Back to school should maybe get a little better. I am done with the opening of school night events (Open House, etc.). Hoping to get back into a routine.

Knitting Plans/Goals

August goals: finish Jeffrey Pine Cardigan (only a sleeve to go), finish Spooky Roller socks, add 4 mini skeins (#9, 10, 11 & 12) from the Christmas in July Advent project of the Anthology Throw, finish the orange Seafarer's vest which is a charity knit and finish the Knitmas in July shawl.

Update: I did a general yarn update yesterday. I did try to knit a few rows on a project each evening.

Sewing Plans/Goals

August goal: This month will be about using sweater knits in my fabric collection. I also want to continue to use the sweatshirt fleece I keep finding (I swear it is reproducing whenever my back is turned). I might actually make items for an upcoming weather season before that season actually arrives.

Update: Well my sewing make for the week is not fleece or sweater knit based. It is brand new fabric that has been less than a month in the collection so I call that a win. I made a new skirt.

Canning Plans/Goals

August goal: I cannot realistically see myself with time or energy to can anything this month. Though I might sneak in another bone broth session.

Embroidery/Cross Stitch Plans/Goals

August goal: work at least 1 hour a week on the project.

Update: I have been good about achieving this goal. Taking pictures each week is also encouraging me to keep going.

Crochet Plans/Goals

August goals: Finish the Taylor Swift inspired crochet dress.

Update: I have actually finished the main portion of the dress. I want to seam it together to how heavy it is on me. this might be the deciding factor on sleeves. Either way I need to do the neck binding and also add a hem.

Cricut Plans/Goals

August goal: complete 5 birthday cards in the month. It appears I know a lot of people born in the month of August.

Update: Posted about my July craft stats from Cricut.

Misc Goals/Plans

August goals: continue with budgeting, workout 3 times a week, write 4 letters/cards to send to friends

Update: This week was even worse for the workouts. Only made it once to the gym. I did take Monday off of work to go to eye dr appointment. The idea in my head was to go to gym after appointment. But...they super dilated my eyes to take photos of my optic nerves. Even with extra strong sunglasses driving was not an option and my eyes were just so tired. I have glaucoma and going to the eye specialist is tiring because there are lots of "special" tests I get which stress your eyes and makes them very tired.
